- Risk Management & Insurance prepares the paperwork for the DMV to register vehicles. If purchased through a dealer, the dealer will do the paperwork and the Director of Risk Management needs to sign the MV-82 form only. All other paperwork can be signed by the department.
- The original vehicle registration and title need to go to Risk Management & Insurance, with a copy of the registration remaining in the vehicle.
- The department is responsible for renewing the registration.
- An insurance card is required to be kept in the vehicle. Insurance Cards are available from the Department of Risk Management & Insurance.
